Big news! We’ve officially rolled out analytics for playlists on Boombox, now available on Pro plans or higher (see pricing here).
To give you some background, we crafted the “playlists” tab in Boombox specifically to streamline your music pitching process. Whether you’re presenting your tracks to a record label, an artist, a potential collaborator, or even marketing a beat you created, our playlists provide a sleek and professional way to share your unreleased music privately and professionally.
With playlist analytics, you can dive deep into who’s viewing your tracks and how often they’re hitting play. This invaluable data not only helps you measure interest, but also equips you with insights for your follow-up strategy.
Here’s how it works.
Navigate to any playlist you’ve built in Boombox, and you’ll notice a new “analytics” button right next to your playlist “settings”. Give that button a click to view your play count by user or by track. And just like that, you can see what’s happening on the other side of your share.
Pretty cool, right? Hope you guys love it. Remember, you have to be on a Pro Plan or higher to access this feature.
We’ve also rolled out time-ranged comments.
In the files tab, you can now leave text comments and voice notes on an entire region of a song, as opposed to just a specific time stamp. Simply click and drag your cursor over the region you’d like to comment on.
If you want to get really precise, you can edit the parameters of your region manually by clicking “edit” in the ellipses menu on the comment. Once selected, you can edit both the start and end times of the region.
We’ve been chomping at the bit to get this out to you guys. Hope you love it!
That’s all the updates we have for now. We’re hard at work right now on “advanced search”, which will allow you to search your files by musical attribute, such as BPM, key, genre, sample rate and more.
Talk to you again soon!
