We started building boombox because we recognized some problems with today’s music tech landscape. Artists are forced to use tools like Dropbox to store audio files, or text threads & email chains to collaborate. These tools simply weren’t designed for us. There’s a mile-long list of other apps that help with small parts of the creative process, but the ecosystem is disjointed and often poorly built.

Tom Chavez

Co-Founder | CEO

As a former touring musician himself, Tom will tell you that he’s always dreamt of building something for music makers, but it wasn’t until now that he felt he had something that could really make a difference. His career highlights include being the Co-Founder & CEO at Rapt, which sold to Microsoft in 2008. The Co-Founder & CEO at Krux, which sold to Salesforce in 2016. He is also a current Founding Partner at boombox’s parent company, super{set}.

India Lossman

Co-Founder | Head of Product

Her super power is juggling a million things at once (among many others)! With her impressive background in product at Avid and Kronos, she’s got the skills to orchestrate our product roadmap like a symphony. Plus she comes from a family of songwriters. That’s right, she’s got music in her blood so she definitely “gets it”! She’s the ultimate left brain balance for a product intended for right brain creatives.

Max Mathieu

Co-Founder | Head of Technology

Max has been surrounded by keyboards for almost 35 years, starting piano at age 6 and discovering coding shortly afterwards. Although he did once consider dropping out of his CS degree for a career in music, his forte has always been software engineering. He was a co-founder and CTO at Heatmap, Inc, a successful martech company. He also worked at Google as a strategic cloud engineer.

Jordan Schneider

Head of Marketing

This guy may be a total marketing nerd, but don’t let that fool you – he’s also an accomplished mix engineer responsible for tracks that have racked up hundreds of millions of streams across the major DSPs. Co-founder of a Nashville record label, OurVinyl, and marketing lead at a stock music site, Soundstripe, Jordan’s always been about combining his love of music with his marketing skills.

Lucas Banker

Head of Partnerships

Our resident boss of the music biz. Lucas has done just about everything you can think of in the industry. Including working as a touring artist, an accomplished songwriter, and A&R exec at Riptide music. He’s got production and songwriting credits with artists like Diplo, Sting, and more recently worked in artist development with hip hop phenoms Joey Valence and Brae.

Fabio Lendrum

Content Director

The sonic wiz behind Noize – he’s worked with industry titans like Warner Music, MLB, and Spotify. As a music producer and mixing engineer, he’s conquered the charts, dominated the DJ circuit, and crafted courses, content and collaborations with artists such as Martin Garrix, Diplo and Damian Lazarus. Pop the kettle on and sink your teeth into his in-depth tutorials, soothing British accent and lose yourself in the music.
