Hey guys! Hope everyone is doing great out there. As always, we’ve got some fresh updates on Boombox that we’re excited to share with you this week. Let’s get right into it…
Password-protection for playlists and file collections.
By popular request, we’ve rolled out a new layer of security to your sharing experience.
When you click to share a playlist or a collection of individual files, you’ll notice a new toggle available to add password protection to the shared link.
A couple of things to note. First, this feature is not yet available for folder shares. We plan to roll that out eventually. Second, password protection is only available on the Pro plan (currently $9.99 / month for a limited time).
AI stem splitter now available on audio files
Click into any audio file, and you’ll notice a new button available at the bottom of the waveform. Our AI-powered stem splitting technology will let you break out separate audio files from any mix – vocals, drums, bass and more.
That’s it for this week’s updates. Here’s what you can expect to see in the near future.
Time-ranged comments – In addition to time-stamped comments and voice notes on audio files, you’ll now be able to select a range to add your thoughts.
Playlist analytics – Soon you’ll be able to review play count analytics tied to your playlists. A great way to gauge interest level per track from the people you’ve shared with.
Advanced search – Search is getting a major upgrade. You’ll be able to search for individual files by name, and even segment search by musical attributes such as bpm or key. These attributes are automatically applied to your audio files by our AI auto-tagging features.
Hope you’re as psyched about these updates as we are! Wishing you the best of luck out there with your music and, as always, happy creating.
