Your friends at boombox have been COOKING.

We pride ourselves on prioritizing feature requests from our customers above everything else. Keep your feedback coming, we’re listening. You guys are the sh*t.

Anyway, here’s what’s new from the past few weeks. Reach out to us at support@boombox.io or chat with us in the app if you have questions.

Open Link Sharing

Okay so pretty much everybody has asked for this. You can now share files stored in Boombox with anybody, even if they don’t have an account. That means for your Playlists, and any individual file you’re storing, you can generate an open, accessible link to send directly to anybody. This is great for sharing with collaborators who have not yet signed up, labels, friends, family, etc.

Playlist Creation

I know we mentioned it in the last paragraph, but this is relatively new too. Playlists are exactly what they sound like. You can organize your work into a shareable playlist that will play your mixes in any order you dictate. Heads up – his one’s only available if you’re on the standard or premium plan.

Queue

Ever play a song in Google Drive or Dropbox then have it stop playing when you navigate somewhere else in the app? Or maybe you want to play two songs, but you have to wait for the first one to stop, then click play on the second one. WHY IS THIS SO ANNOYING? Because we’re all spoiled. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with Queue. Just add as many mixes as you want to the queue. They’ll keep playing anywhere you go in the app, in the order you add them. You can even rearrange the order mid-play if you want.

Boombox Sync for macOS (download here)

We developed this one for people storing all of their project files with us. We want organizing your files to be as simple as possible. Boombox Sync for macOS allows you to arrange and access files directly from a boombox folder on your desktop. No need to keep logging into your browser and uploading and downloading files to your device.

Stay tuned for more. If you have an idea for something else, hit us up. We’ll update you in another month or so.

Keep on trucking!
